I know two people who have had (as far as I can tell since I am not a medic ) similar brain ops 4-5 years ago - a Carpenter and a Headmistress.
Both are still working today. The Headmistress looks to be as she always was, but is now minus the headaches. The Carpenter was affected in one eye (will depend upon the site of the growth) but not significantly enough to prevent him working and being much in demand. He was single at the time of the Op and afterwards began a relationship which is still flourishing. Recurrence? As far as I know he is still eating as Builders on site do, but he regularly visits the gymn, goes running etc. I recently read of one Doctor saying that walking was as powerful as chemo. I don't know what the Headmistress does to stay healthy, but when we spoke last year she was taking care to eat heallthy food.
These two important factors, exercise and a health giving diet, would be advocated by any good Doctor or alternative therapist.
How lucky you are that the growth is benign - and on another level that you have the love and support of your children. But what can you do to help yourself?
Simplistically you can bear the following in mind. Firstly new (?)research shows that tumours feed on sugar, secondly old research shows that dairy products encourage fast cell growth (the calf grows at 8 or 9 times the rate of the human baby) thirdly beetroot (and beanshoots) can help to limit cancer growth, and fourthly new research re the ancient grape therapy shows that grapeseeds work like chemotherapy. Seeded grapes are now difficult to find , but I have seen them for sale in Morrisons and Asda; grapes must be washed of pesticides. You can buy grapeseed extract.
Finally during a talk given by Eva Schloss who was with Anne Frank in Auschwitz ,she, Eva was asked 'Why do you think you survived when so many died?' the lady answered 'I'll tell you this - it wasn't about bodies. Then, we had no bodies. It was about mind. My mother said 'Don't give up' and I didn't.'
